We can all agree 2016 has been a shit storm of sorts.
When faced with strange and hostile circumstances happening around us, it is important to reach out and offer help to endangered communities and threatened environments— if you can afford to, helping with as little as five dollars can really help out someone in need. The dollar is particularly strong in the global economy right now— which means it can go a longer way in third world countries than it did before! Today we bring to your attention Fondo Maria, a Mexican non-governmental organization that helps women from rural communities travel to Mexico City to get a legal and safe abortion. Fondo Maria provides financial and emotional support as well as all the logistics to get them there and back safetly.
When donating as little as $5 dollars to Fondo Maria, it buys TWO women breakfast in the big city.
